all flights are scheduled according to
your convenience. The uncluttered skies,
open spaces and the international flight
operations environment of Brunei International
Airport creates are perfect flight training
ingredients.
- What are the requirements?
- Very basic. You must be fluent
in English and have a generally
good health. You will be required
to hold an Aviation Medical
Certificate which is to certify
that you do not have such
health issues that may hinder your
ability to fly an aircraft.
Wearing corrective eye glasses is
not an issue.
-
- What's Flight Training and
Theory like?
- First 12-15 Hours of flying will
be with a flight instructor after
which you should be ready to go
for your first solo flight. Then
on, it will be mix of solo
flying in the training area &
cross-country and more training flights
with the instructor until you are
ready for your Private License
flight test.
- Theory subjects are varied and
study materials for them will be
provided by your instructor. In most
cases, home study is enough while
the flying club also maintains a
resource library of books for
further reading.
-
- How many Flight
Hours and how long?
- A total of 43 hours of
flying experience is required to
apply for a Private License. This
includes the training flights and
solo flights. How long it takes
to complete the syllabus of 43
hours depends entirely on you. To
keep the continuity we recommend
at least 3-5 hours a week.
